David Klammer is a German photographer and filmmaker, focused on storytelling and longterm projects he also works for mayor magazines as photographer, like DER SPIEGEL STERN-MAGAZINE, GEO and as a videographer for SKY-TV. During his long career, he has won several prices for his work, among others a World Press Photo Award. Since 2018 Klammer has worked on themes connected to climate-activists, like his project FOREST, which is now published as a photobook by the German publisher EDITION BILDPERLEN. BARRICADE, the documentary on the occupation of the Dannenrod Forst in Germany is his first feature documentary. Klammer has travelled a couple of times to document the resistance of climate activits, living in treehouses there and stayed in the forest for around three months. BARRICADE hat its German premiere at prestigious HOF International Filmfestival and was awarded BEST DOCUMENTARY at the Snowdance Filmfestival in Germany this year.
